Well, I took the plunge today. Flashed the ROM of my Nook Color to Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and will see how well I like it. So far, so good. I was not using most of the Barnes & Noble user interface anyway. Exception of course being the e-reader software itself, replaced now by the Nook for Android app. That will take a little to get used to; fortunately it seems to have all the functionality I need of it (I don’t use or need the talking book gimmick which is available for some children’s titles).
And, yes, I am using the Nook to type and send this post.
